London 2012 Olympics Food - bangers, mushy peas and sweet Hasselbacks

A picture named M2
After viewing the NBC Olympics live streaming of beautiful Greenwich Park where the equestrian events are held I got cravings for mushy peas. Therefore Sunday dinner included bangers, grilled chicken- garlic-mozzarella sausages, mushy peas and wonderful sweet Hasselback potatoes. Tasted just like English gastro pub fare.
Bangers

Your favorite, spicy and bold sausage, split in half and grill or sear.

Mushy peas

2 cups/5dl frozen green peas
1/4 cup/0.5 dl heavy cream
1 tablespoon/1 msk butter
salt and pepper

Boil peas for 4 minutes, drain and mix a little bit for a coarse texture, add cream, butter, salt and pepper and mix in these ingredients, the mush must not be too fine you should be able to see pieces of peas.

Sweet Hasselbacks

Hasselback potatoes are a Swedish classic dish, named after a restaurant in Stockholm. I used sweet potatoes instead of regular potatoes and changed breed crumbs for panko crumbs.

Sweet potatoes one per person served
Panko crumbs
Parmesan cheese
Butter
Salt and pepper

Peel the sweet potatoes and slice them thinly but not all the way through, the potato must hold together. Put them on a baking sheet and top with salt and pepper, panko crumbs, generous slices of butter and freshly grated parmesan chees. Bake in 435F/225C oven for 35 minutes until potatoes are soft and the topping golden brown.
